Welcome to the Practice Learning Database that has been created by the Learning Resource Centre Network (LRCN)
The LRCN is a new Department of Health initiative, administered by Topss England. The aim of the project is to create an infrastructure that supports the development of work based learning. In the first instance the focus will be on the development of practice learning opportunities for the social work degree, but in 2005 the project will incorporate the whole social care workforce
The Placement Information Management System has been developed as a tool to help create effective and efficient matching of practice learning opportunities for students on both undergraduate and postgraduate Social Work Programmes.
This is a pilot project and we would like your feedback on the use of these forms. Any comments you make will be helpful for us in ensuring that this is refined as a useful tool.
